Warner Bros. and J. K. Rowling has just announced that the Harry Potter Prequel Series, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, will be getting 5 movies instead of the previously planned 3. All the 5 movies will be written by J. K. Rowling herself.

The annoucement was done via twitter.

The movies annoucement has made everyone excited about the return of the beloved franchise in such a majestic way but it is obviously being done to churn more money from the fandom. Despite the fact that the Harry Potter new book, Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, was a disappointing experience for the fans (Thank god there is no plan for a Harry Potter and The Cursed Child Movie); Making J. K. Rowling the script writer has given fans hope that the quality of the movies will remain in check.

Fantastic Beasts was previously planned to get two additional sequels, which were going to be released on November 16, 2018 and November 20, 2020 respectively. The 2 new Fantastic Beasts release dates have not been annouced yet. They will probably release with 2 years gaps like the previous movies.

Fantastic Beasts movies are not based on the Fantastic beasts book. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movie will be an all-new adventure in the Wizarding world of Harry Potter with Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne playing the central role of magi-zoologist Newt Scamander. David Yates will be directing the movie. He has previously worked on the last four Harry Potter blockbusters. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is prequel set in 1926. It will also be leaving its british roots as the plot focuses on Newt Scamander coming to New York.
