Mutantkind is one of the largest superpowered communities in comic book history. While the fans already know that a vast number of them exist, courtesy of a plethora of 20th Century Fox X-Men movies, people still don’t know that there exist mutant superheroes that still haven’t graced the screens yet. The Gifted is a show that is based on the adventures of Mutantkind in the 21st Century. Maybe Marvel could use this show as a platform to launch some famous Mutant heroes. Presenting 7 awesome Marvel Mutants we want to see in The Gifted.

Rachel Summers

Rachel Summers is the daughter of Cyclops and Jean Grey from a dystopian future timeline. She was turned into a mutant hound and doomed to hunt down her own kind by Ahab. She is a powerful psychic and telekinetic and now a part f the Mutant Undergound. Rachel Summers would be a perfect addition to Gifted but since the X-Men are nowhere to be found within the show itself, it will be difficult to explain her origins.

The Morlocks

There are two types of mutants – One who can pass as Humans while the other are so mutated on the outside that they never could. The Morlocks are the literal Mutant Undergorund, living in the sewers beneath and taking a vow to always stay out of sight of the surface world. The Morlocks are mutant extremists and their inclusion could give a necessary push to the ideal of ‘Mutant Supremacy’ that the show so dearly lacks.

Malice

Malice is a purely psychic entity that takes hold of its target’s mind and makes them do unimaginable things. There is one mutant that Malica latched on to for years – the mutant known as Polaris. She is already turning into a darker version of herself in the show. Is this Mlice’s doing? Has the Hellfire Club planted another one of their operatives within the Mutant Undergound?

Selene

With the Hellfire Club already out there in the show causing all sorts of trouble for the Mutant Underground and the Humans alike, it is only a matter of time until their leader sets foot on the show. Heavy hitters like Emma Frost and Sebastian Shaw are probably off limits. That would mean Selene, the Vampire Black Queen of the Hellfire Club could have a shot on The Gifted TV Show. In the comics, Selene is 17,000 years old and probably the first mutant ever.

Unus the Untouchable

Italian Mutant Angelo Unuscione was an early creation og Jack Kirby and and Stan Lee. Although fairly unpopular, Unus’ powers make for a pretty fitting addition to a TV show on a shoestring budget. Unus can consciously create a force field of invisible energy around his body, making him literally untouchable if he wills it.

Destiny

In the comics, Destiny and Mystique were a couple. While Mystique became a movie star in the Fox-Verse, Destiny became more and more obscure. Destiny is blind and can see the future. The ‘Destiny Diaries’ entail all of Destiny’s visions, foretelling everything there ever was and everything there ever will be. The Diaries could make for an awesome Season 2 arc.

Proteus

Proteus is also another mutant that is purely a psychic entity. The son of Moira MacTaggert, Proteus is otherwise known as Mutant X, an extremely powerful mutant that has vast telepathic abilities rivaling that of Professor X. Proteus is a psychic vampire – he feeds on the psychic energy of a host after possessing him. A villain like Proteus could become the big bad in The Gifted Season 2.
