Captain America: Civil War showed the fallout between the members of #TeamCap and #TeamStark, following the events of Sokovia and the Superhero Registration Act. With the final combat scene between an aggrieved Tony Stark and an exhausted Steve Rogers, the original Avengers disbanded not too amicably. The split-up also resulted in one thing which shocked the audience; Captain America left his shield behind. But now with the Mad Titan on earth, Tony Stark could definitely use any form of help, even if it means keeping his massive ego aside and ask The First Avenger to lend a hand. Which comes back to the question, does Captain America gets his old shield back, or, is it some new tech-shield which was hinted in Spiderman: Homecoming? The answer will definitely catch you off guard.

Coming back to the billionaire, Tony Stark is not the only rich brat in the Marvel Universe. It turns out, the billionaire who helped Steve Rogers get a new shield is the reclusive king of Wakanda, T’Challa aka Black Panther. As shown in the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, T’Challa ordered his constituents to create a shield for Rogers. And now, we finally get to witness the might of Wakandan technology.

Unlike the previous model, Captain America’s shield in the Infinity War is incorporated to his suit. The major difference between the two shields is the appearance. While the former model was a classical, round-shaped shield, the new prototype resembles a triangle, and is quite smaller than its predecessor. Also, the shield is now on both his hands, owing to its smaller size and portability. The aesthetics of the new shield gives a Wakandan vibe, thanks to its elegant black color and a few markings which were also seen on Black Panther’s suit. If you are still wondering regarding its composition, you should definitely wait till 16th February to get a good look at Wakanda’s thriving economy and technological advancements.

Avengers: Infinity War is slated to release on May 4, 2018.
