Coldplay enthralled the entire country yesterday on 19th november with their breathtaking performance in Mumbai. The crowd couldnt have been more excited when coldplay entered the stage at the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Developememt Authority (MMRDA) Ground all prepared to set it on fire.

The band was in the country for the Global Citizen India Initiative 2016 which was an action-rewarded fest that encouraged social change across the country.

Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin, performed a ninety minute gig on their all time hits like A sky full of stars, Scientist, Yellow, Hymn for the weekend, Fix you and Viva la Vida. Martin also shared the stage with A R Rahman and tried to sing along to Indian tunes which went hilariously wrong.


Among the eminent personalities who attended the gala were Amitabh Bachchan, A R Rahaman, Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Arijit Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra, Alia Bhat, Frieda Pinto, Sonakshi Sinha and Monali Thakur.


A few minutes before the show the PM Narendra Modi addressed the audience through video conference with Ratan Tata, CM Devendra Fadnavis and Sachin Tendulkar. The event was introduced by Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor followed by a performance by Sonakshi Sinha, Ananya Birla, Shraddha Kapoor, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Farhaan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh.
