Walt Disney’s latest superhero movie, Doctor Strange acquired the top position in DVD and Blu-ray sales chart while outselling everything else in the list by a fair margin. The 2016 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the fourteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The digital and Blu-ray releases include behind-the-scenes featurettes; audio commentary; deleted scenes; a blooper reel; an exclusive preview of the Phase Three films Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, and Avengers: Infinity War; and Team Thor: Part 2, a continuation of the “mockumentary” short film Team Thor, that was directed by Waititi. Best Buy released an exclusive collector’s edition steelbook case for the regular and 3D Blu-ray release featuring art based on the ‘The Book of Cagliostro’ and the Eye of Agamotto, Target’s Blu-ray versions have an additional exclusive featurette, while the digital version also features an exclusive featurette.

Doctor Strange’s disc sale has topped NPD VideoScan overall disc sales chart, which tracks combined DVD and Blu-ray Disc sales, and NPD’s dedicated Blu-ray Disc sales chart. It is followed by Hacksaw Ridge, Trolls, Allied and Arrival in the top 5 list.

The oscar contender Moonlight debuted in the 6th place.While the other Oscar winner, “Manchester by the Sea,” slipped to 7th position from its 3rd place in debut.
