We all remember Heath Ledger as the greatest live-action Joker in Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight’. We could have much more of him if it was not for his tragic demise in January 2008. Heath was just 28 years old when he died. He was already quite recognized for his acting talents by that time and had received many awards. It was quite a shock for the Hollywood industry to lose such a talent at an early age.

Apparently, Heath Ledger has been chosen to be the next subject for Spike’s feature-length documentary series ‘I AM’. Ledger lived a small life but his achievements were too many. The series will chronicle his life through the interviews of people he was close with, his family and friends. Clips about related to his childhood or any other such clips which contained the actor’s personal life will be collected from his family and might be used.

Heath Ledger was Australian and started his acting career in Hollywood in 1999 with the teen-comedy ’10 Things I Hate About You’ which was a hit and brought Ledger in attention of the public. He then conitnued to work in 19 movies before his untimely death in 2008. He got his first Academy Award Nomination for the Best Actor in a Feature Film in 2006 for his movie ‘Brokeback Mountain’. He then worked with Christopher Nolan on ‘The Dark Knight’ and played the role of the fan-favorite villain, Joker, from the Batman Comics. His portrayal of Joker brought him a lot of praise from Critics and Fans alike. He even got his second Academy Award Nomination for the role albeit this time for Best Supporting Actor. He won it posthumously and left an everlasting mark on everyone who admired his work.

It will be a great honor to the late actor’s legacy by making a feature lenght documentary on his Short but Big life. The premiere date of the episode has not yet been announced but it will release sometime in May.
