It’s well know by now that Hideo Kojima, the mastermind behind Metal Gear Solid games, left Konami last year to work on his own independent production. Death Stranding is the first game of Kojima as an independent developer. Hideo Kojima revealed a new cryptic clip from the game at ‘Game Awards 2016’. Watch the clip by clicking on the video above.

The footage shows the mysterious world of the game. The cinematic trailer also features Guillermo del Toro and actor Norman Reedus, who appears in the game. I can’t help but  notice that the clip features the military soldiers who give me a similar vibe and feel, atleast in terms of concept as that of the infected soldier from Metal Gear Solid 5. But it might be too early to speak of it. Nonetheless, the clip looks absolutely amazing.

Death Stranding is an upcoming open world action video game developed by Kojima Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. It is game director Hideo Kojima and his company’s first game following the 2015 disbandment and termination of their contract from Konami, and was officially announced at Sony’s E3 2016 conference. It currently has no set release date, although Kojima stated that the game would be released prior to the year the film Akira was set, which is 2019.(Courtesy: Wikipedia)

The game features American actor Norman Reedus and Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, who are portrayed via motion capture and voice acting.
