The fans of Ironman, can now finally fly side by side with him, when the Hong Kong Disneyland opens the Ironman ride next year. The theme park is based on Lantau island. The theme park just released a new video, showcasing the various elements and features that is being developed for 3 years.
“I think the audience in Hong Kong will go crazy for this experience. Anybody who goes to a Disney theme park loves color and spectacle and excitement and adventure, and that’s all that Iron Man [Experience] is. It embodies all of those things. I didn’t dream it would be such a big production and such a beautiful production. There’s something about Iron Man that seems to fascinate people.”, says Stan Lee in the video.
Hong Kong Disneyland attraction is estimated to have a cost of $100 million and will employ a newer generation model of the Advanced Technology Leisure Application Simulator, currently used in Star Tours–The Adventures Continue. The attraction will be located at the park’s Tomorrowland section, in an area named “Stark Expo”, adjacent to Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. In this 3-D Simulator Ride, Tony invites the visitors aboard the Iron Wing for a tour of Hong Kong, including the newly constructed Stark Tower. However, Hydra launches an attack on the city, forcing Tony to don the Iron Man armor and fight the menace alongside the Iron Wing.(Courtesy: Wikipedia)
“We’re going to get on board. It’s a brand new, high-tech ship,” explains Walt Disney creative director Ted Robledo, “Imagine a very large Iron Man suit. [We’re going to] fly over to the new Star Tower, where we’re going to see the world’s largest Arc Reactor, a very powerful, very valuable energy device, and get an up-close look at it.”
Iron Man Experience is under construction in Tomorrowland at Hong Kong Disneyland and is expected to open January 11, 2017.
