According to the details of the ‘Welcome Offer ‘ of Jio, free internet and data calling was available only till 31st of December 2016. But according to the new offer, Jio is extending it’s validity of free internet and calling till March 2017. Yes, you read it absolutely right. Reliance telecom is going to increase the validity of free net and calling under the alias of ,” Happy New Year Offer “.

This offer starts from 4th December and continues till 31st March 2017 for new members. For all the existing users, there is no need to buy new SIM. The offer would simply carry forward to the existing “Welcome Offer”.

No reason has been specified by the Chairman Mukesh Ambani regarding the increment in this free offer. Some people are saying that this is because the continuous poor feedback of people regarding the speed of 4G connection of Jio SIMs . Some rumors say that it is a gift of Mukesh Ambani to the people of India on the occasion of his father, Dhirubhai Ambani’s birthday on 28th December. Also some experts are saying that this is a measure of Jio to get people so accustomed to the high speed internet of Jio 4G that they would never ever think of going back to the cheaper 3G internet again which is the most likely case in India as in some parts of India, even 2G internet is still in use.

But with this offer has come a few changes regarding data usage like for example, the users will now have a daily FUP limit of 1GB under the Reliance Jio Happy New Year Offer, which if exhausted will result in slower speeds.

Whatever be the case, everyone is thanking Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani on this generous offer of his company as everyone is gonna enjoy it to the very best.
