We all love Robert Downey Jr. in his several charismatic roles, one of them is his outstanding portrayal of Sherlock Holmes in the Guy Ritchie directed movie series. After two movie outings the series was put on hold but Sherlock Holmes 3 is finally going to happen.
Warner Bros. is trying their best to make Sherlock Holmes 3 a reality. It was previously going to start principal photography in Fall of 2016, before RDJ gets engaged in Marvel’s Infinity War but it never started. Still, Warner Bros. is trying hard for Sherlock Holmes 3 with RDJ and Jude Law, and has taken a proper first step in doing so. The Studio has assembled a writers room in order to shape the story and get a decent script for the third sequel. The writers room consists of Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer, Nicole Perlman, and the upcoming Star Wars movie, Rogue One’s co-writer, Gary Whitta as well as Justin Malen, Geneva Dworet-Robertson and Snowden screenwriter Kieran Fitzgerald.
Many studios have started using writers rooms to make panned out cinematic universes. Writers room are not normally used for single film installments like Sherlock Holmes 3 but this could help the project to form a proper script which it has been not able to do till now. The studio might also do the same for their upcoming King Kong/Godzilla cinematic venture.

If everything goes according to plan then the script would be ready soon enough but the same can’t be said for the movie. Guy Ritchie would direct the movie but he will be busy promoting his movie King Arthur: The Legend of the Sword till early next year and then he won’t stop there because his next directorial venture has already been decided as the live-action remake of Disney’s Aladdin. RDJ and Jude Law are also quite busy in the foreseeable future but the fans should always keep their fingers crossed because once the script is done, the studio won’t let it go to waste. 😉
