In the recent post made by Reliance Jio in social media, It was revealed that telecom regulator TRAI has advised Reliance Jio to withdraw the Summer Surprise offer. And Jio doesn’t wish to go against TRAI.
Jio had announced its Summer Suprise offer on 31st March under which all Jio Prime subscribers got 3 months of complimentary services, in addition to the Jio Prime plan they had purchased.
However, today Jio revealed in a press release “Today, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has advised Jio to withdraw the 3 months complimentary benefits of JIO SUMMER SURPRISE. Jio accepts this decision,”
“Jio is in the process of fully complying with the regulator’s advice, and will be withdrawing the 3 months complimentary benefits of JIO SUMMER SURPRISE as soon as operationally feasible, over the next few days. However, all customers who have subscribed to JIO SUMMER
SURPRISE offer prior to its discontinuation will remain eligible for the offer,” the operator further added.
