The first full trailer of Michael Bay’s 5th Transformers movie has debuted online and gives us our first look at the Bots getting back in action. Transformers: The Last Knight trailer is narrated by Anthony Hopkins. Bringing in Sir Hopkins is a huge addition to the franchise which has only been style and no substance till now. Michael Bay’s over blown aesthetics are still in play but then that’s what we have come to expect from him and some audience even enjoy it *cough* China *cough*. In an attempt to offer something new, the fifth installment of the franchise pits two of the most beloved Autobots, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, against each other.

The fifth Transformers movie is set to release on June 23, 2017. Surprisingly it was once going to be the release date of Warner Bros. Wonder Woman but it was later on changed to June 2.

Despite being a critical failure and butt of jokes for the critics, the franchise has kept on going on since 2007. Transformers 2 was the biggest summer blockbuster of 2009 and Transformers 4 was the only film in 2014 to touch the $1 billion mark. Even after continuously deteriorating in quality the box office collections have been tremendous and why would Paramount let go this golden egg laying goose. So, a fifth movie was inevitable. Just keep your fingers crossed that Transformers the Last Knight storyline could be a little bit better.

Albeit an effort to gain some love from the critics is visible in the trailer as it tries to be a humane drama alongside an action packed popcorn flick but it’s not the audience fault if they are still skeptical. Whatever might be the content of the movie, in the end, the audience will obviously flock to the theaters in large numbers just to watch a bunch of giant robots fighting each other.

Still, there is no doubt that the trailer looks cool and watching Bumblebee and Optimus Prime throwing punches at each other is indeed a bit appealing. Watch the trailer and tell us your opinions in comments.
