Europe’s elite club competition has reached the business end as we kick off the knockout stages. Holders, Real Madrid, are one of the favourites(surprise! surprise!) to win the biggest prize of Europe, but they must defy history to achieve the “unachievable”.
Group Stage Round-Up & Regulations
Group A – Arsenal (winners), Paris Saint-Germain
Group B – Napoli (winners), Benfica
Group C – Barcelona (winners), Manchester City
Group D – Atletico Madrid (winners), Bayern Munich
Group E – Monaco (winners), Bayer Leverkusen
Group F – Borussia Dortmund (winners), Real Madrid
Group G – Leicester City (winners), Porto
Group H – Juventus (winners), Sevilla
Group winners will be placed in one bowl, the runners-up in the other. They’ll be matched to form 8 2-legged ties, as the winners will have the advantage of playing the 2nd leg of the tie at their home ground.
The teams are drawn against each other with two restrictions,
- They can’t be drawn against a team from its same league.
- They can’t be drawn against a team from its same group.
For example, Real Madrid(Spain) cannot play Barcelona(Spain), Atletico Madrid(Spain) or Borussia Dortmund(Group F).

The first leg of some of these ties will be played on 14–15/02/17 and 21–22/02/17
And The Second leg on 07–08/03/17 and 14–15/03/17
