Salim-Sulaiman, Anu Malik, Mithoon and Neil Nayak have one thing in common – They are all music composers. But, while others compose songs for money, the lesser-known Neil Nayak compose songs to spread hygiene awareness . He is the first music composer in India to create music about spreading hygiene awareness in the city, state and country issued in public interest. His video song, Thuku Naka (Don’t spit), garnered huge response from people on youtube. Shot at multiple public places, in Thuku Naka, Neil has requested common people to keep surrounding clean and not spit in public places. Though the track has been composed in Marathi especially for Maharashtra, the video has received support from various places across the country.
Since Thuku Naka is issued in public interest, the team behind this noble cause seek no commercial aspect through this rather than spreading awareness. Their efforts have been recognized and praised not only by leading newspapers and Radio City 91.1FM, but also from the likes of singer Mika Singh. The team behind Thuku Naka includes Neil Nayak as Music Composer/Director/Lyrics, Zoheb Khan as Music Programmer, Yashraj Naik as Choreographer, Vasant Doshi as DOP/Editor, Arsalaan Akhoon as Singer and Kamaljit Singh as Production Manager. The team has also introduced the concept of Thuku Naka zip lock pouches to local betel shop and asked them to give it with the betel leaf to their customers.
We, at Xtrascoop, salute Neil Nayak and their team for coming up this unique idea of spreading hygiene awareness. We request our readers to maintain their surroundings clean and disease free. You can connect with Thuku Naka team on following platforms –
