As expected, Marvel dropped a 30 second teaser for Avengers: Endgame. And if you think the first one was filled with hopelessness, you were wrong.
While the first trailer was limited to the Avengers in their Avenger-mansion, this teaser shows the impact the snap has had on earth. Needless to say, it is devastated. The tall Statue of Liberty standing in the middle of a dark and desolate New York, surrounded by emptied boats and vehicles, is enough to send shivers down the spine. People have formed self-help groups for dealing with the pain. We saw our beloved Avengers turn to dust and nobody can forget the gut-wrenching good bye between Spidey and Tony. But only after seeing this trailer, you can actually fathom the devastation the snap has caused.
And is it only me or Tony working with Nebula looks eerily similar to his first scene making Mark-1 suit in the cave back in Iron Man. Tony surely went from no-oxygen to build-suit-to-kill-thanos in no time.
If Tony is preparing for the battle in space, other Avengers are not far behind. Natasha is target practicing, Clint looks like he is searching from someone inside a crashed ship and someone has finally got Cap his shield. By the way, Valkyrie is supposed to appear in this movie, so is that Asgardian ship housing Valkyrie and half of the Asgardian (or half of half?) from the beginning of Infinity War? And and who are they looking at the sky in the middle of the night? My money is on Tony!
There is a huge ass gap between Bruce and Rhodey. Going by Marvel’s past records, someone important is going to be in between them.
We then see Rocket entering a house. Judging by the background, it can either be Wakanda, or if I am lucky, maybe Thanos’ hut? Probaby Rocket has sneaked in to steal his gauntlet? In the next scene, Thor is also ready for the fight of his life. Can we please keep his half cape only? Like in the end of Ragnarok? And finally, the teaser closes with the OG Avengers Assembled! If nobody shout their “Avengers: Assemble” battle cry, I am gonna riot in the theater!
Avengers: Endgame is scheduled for April 26, 2019 release.
