Oh boy! He is back! Superman is BACK. Or is he?
Thanks to the overwhelming success of Wonder Woman, DCEU seems to have been back on the track. Shortly after debuting the third trailer in Hall-H of currently going SDCC, WB posted the trailer online, and we couldn’t be more excited. While the previous two trailers served as character introductions, this new Justice League trailer finally brings the big bad Steppenwolf (played by Ciaran Hinds) into the light. He is seen, fully armoured up, stealing mother box from Themyscira. Following the theft, we have a voice-over from Steppenwolf saying there are no protectors, Lanterns and Kryptonians to save the planet. Yup, you heard it right! Green Lantern movie doesn’t seem far now!

We also have shots of various heroes going about their crime fighting routine in the aftermath of Superman’s demise. Unlike the trailer of Dawn of Justice, this one looks light-hearted and much of the humour comes from Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen and Jeremy Irons’ Alfred Pennyworth. And btw, is Wonder Woman learning ‘The Art Of Disappearing During Conversation’ from Batman? Poor Commissioner Gordon. We also have a shot of Bruce looking at hologram of some girl with red cape which seems like Supergirl.
Cue the credits and then the final scene. We see Alfred talking to someone saying “you said you would come; now lets hope you are not too late”. Quite cryptic ain’t it. But if you look closely at he bottom corner of the screen, you can see a blurred red silhouette of someone. Add to it Alfred’s dialogue and it does seem Superman is back.
