With the last two playlists of our weekend special being rock, we decided to have a throwback instead. For those of you who don’t want the noise of fireworks and want to have a peaceful Diwali, this would be an apt playlist. Co-incidentally though, most of the songs have something related to fire or light in their titles. The song spent a lot of time on Billboards Hot 100, 68 weeks to be precise, with 25 weeks of succession in the top 10 having debuted at #32.
4. Cam – Burning house
A song with a rousing reception in Country and a certified ‘gold’ track my Music Canada the song was a grammy nominee that lost to Chris Stapleton’s “Traveller”
5. Owl City – Fireflies
Adam Youngs best track till date is a Billboard legend having topped it for two continuous weeks.
6. Fun – Some Nights
The track reached number 1 in the likes of Australia, New Zealand and Israel and has been regarded as a more pumped up version of their song ‘We are Young’.
7. Imagine Dragons – Demons
A Billboard nominee for ‘Top Rock song’ and winner of the iHeartRadio awards for Alternative Rock song of the year.
8. Fall Out Boy – My songs know what you did in the dark
A track that featured in the trailer of Disney’s movie ‘Big Hero 6’ along with their other track ‘Immortals’ which featured in the movie.
